2007 Aurora Bendigo Syrah NZ$35
One of the region's largest growers (Editor - not true!), Aurora keeps selected parcels for its own label and this is arguable one of the region's great bargains. Nicely defined and finely balanced, it's packed with richly spiced fruit and supply tannins. 

From out in the barren warmth of the Bendigo Hills, ripe, bright berry compote, superb concentration of fruit aromoas, dark chaerry and some sweet pastry too. The acid bites in through the entry, ripe and rich, supply flesh through the middle, tannins weigh in through the back, cherry pie finish, An authoritative pinot.
